IES publishes RP-8-14 Recommended Practice for Roadway Lighting
November 3, 2014 | By Anthony Capkun
November 3, 2014 – The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) has published RP-8-14 “Recommended Practice for Roadway Lighting”, an ANSI-approved standard.
IES says RP-8-14’s primary purpose is to serve as the basis for the design of fixed lighting for roadways and streets, including pedestrian and adjacent bikeways when associated with the public right-of-way. RP-8-14 deals entirely with lighting design and does not give advice on construction. The document is available in print or as a PDF download. (List price $60, IES members $42)
