Eaton names Lennart Jonsson executive VP and chief technology officer

b_200_0_16777215_0___images_stories_WebNews2010_eaton_lennart_jonsson_xvp_and_ctolr.jpgEaton Corp. announced that Lennart Jonsson has been named executive vice-president and chief technology officer (CTO) for the enterprise, reporting to Alexander M. Cutler, chair and CEO.

“In this critical role, Lennart will lead our businesses in the development of robust technology roadmaps that increase our ability to create solutions for our customers’ power management challenges,” said Cutler. “He has proven himself an outstanding leader as chief technology officer for our Electrical Sector.”

Jonsson will also focus on building organizational capability in the company’s technology and engineering functions to “support fast-paced development of innovative power management products and services”.

Jonsson joined Eaton with the Powerware acquisition in 2004 and served as the senior engineering manager responsible for the development of all power quality products globally until he was named VP Technology and CTO for the Electrical Group in 2007.
