January 6, 2012 - AMEC Americas Ltd., a consulting engineering and project management organization, is currently seeking to fill the position of a:
Senior Electrical Engineer - full-time
Senior Electrical Engineer - full-time
The position is located in St John's, NFL. No relocation funds are currently available. The successful applicant will be involved in the company's ongoing operations in Newfoundland.
Responsibilities:
• Engineering and design work on multi-discipline projects of major complexity.
• Field Investigation and report preparation.
• Conducting site visits and inspections.
Requirements:
• Engineer with 10-15 years of relevant experience in the consulting industry and P. Eng registration in Newfoundland.
• Be a member, or eligible to become a member, of the Association of Professional Engineers of Newfoundland and Labrador.
• Can demonstrate effective organizational skills and can function well in a team environment.
• Experience in design, inspection and evaluation of a wide variety of electrical types.
• Power plant and heating plant experience / Industrial Power Generation experience.
• Must be able to demonstrate effective organizational skills working as an Engineer.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with clients and staff in a team environment, as well as independently.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills are mandatory.
• Prepared to travel to various sites within Atlantic Canada.
