The Inside Sales Rep works in a tandem with the Outside Sales Rep to provide excellent customer service.
With responsibilities throughout all stages of the sales cycle the IS Rep helps drive regional sales results and is accountable to meet established targets. This position interfaces with multiple departments across the organization to represent customer and sales force interests, including product satisfaction and general requirements. The IS Rep represents customer and sales force interests with internal departments to ensure on-time fulfillment, overall product satisfaction and question/problem resolution.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Respond to telephone inquiries from customers, vendors and Outbound Sales representatives.
• Provide the customer with product information to assist them in determining appropriate merchandise to purchase.
• Recommend additional products to meet customer needs.
• Respond to customer requests and questions regarding technical issues, products and account information; analyzes and rectifies customer concerns using established procedures.
• Update customer records.
• Track sales activities: Record all customer communications and maintain the customer databases.
• Quote prices, prepare proposals and provide information regarding terms of sales and delivery dates in a timely and efficient manner.
• Enter and maintain orders in SAP.
• Follow up with customers on quotes, reports, orders, etc.
• Coordinate with other departments in handling purchase orders and providing service to customers; may arrange special orders or deliveries; may develop new business within assigned region.
• Achieve an advanced understanding of the Rittal products.
• Provide feedback to product management regarding general customer requirements for future product release.
