August 23, 2012 - Stanpro Lighting Systems—a major Canadian manufacturer of lighting products—in conjunction with CR Browne and Associates is seeking a dynamic, energetic and organized:
Specification Sales Rep (Vancouver and surrounding area)
Specification Sales Rep (Vancouver and surrounding area)
The ideal candidate must possess a drive and passion to succeed, as well as be a good team player. The Sales representative is responsible to drive specifications and product approvals with the engineering community in the region.
Key responsibilities
• Drive specifications to the engineering community all of the Stanpro Lighting Systems products.
• Support the regional sales reps by presenting current and new products, on an as needed basis.
• Participate in Sales meetings discussing projects and strategizing with the other representatives to ensure maximum success.
• Assist in getting our products approved on projects where we are not specified and/or not approved by the engineer in question.
• Seeking out business opportunities in conjunction with our partnering customers, and ensure complete follow through.
• Providing lighting expertise and technical support where required (which will be backed up by our inside staff).
• Develop business plan for key customers, including sales objectives (12 month sales forecast by product category).
• Track and adjust the business plan for each key customer on a quarterly basis.
• Consistently Improve product knowledge.
• Provide market information & pricing trends.
• Participate in trade shows.
• Fully participate in all required sales and training activities.
Experience / skill set required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a specification role doing outside sales/Account management.
• Proven Customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and results-driven.
• Ability to build lasting relationships with customers and develop new business.
• Good Knowledge of MS Office required (Excel, Word, Outlook, PPT etc.).
• Industry knowledge/Technical skills a definite asset.
• IES lighting course.
