Summary:
Stantec in Calgary, Alta., is currently seeking a Electrical Engineer - Communications Specialist to work in the Electrical Engineering team as part of the Buildings Engineering group. This is an opportunity to work in a major engineering consultant firm in Calgary, with the endeavour of expanding the prominence of its work within the communications consultancy sector. The ideal candidate should hold three years of experience.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Primary role is communications systems design.
• Design of voice/data systems including: cabling; system configurations; equipment specifications; and space requirements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree preferred.
• Three years experience as a communications systems designer.
• Although not required, certification as a Registered Communications Distribution Designer is desirable.
• Registered with APEGGA as a P.Eng. will be considered an asset.
• Some experience and the ability to lead specific areas of a project.
• Be able to demonstrate that you are capable of working in a team environment.
