July 09, 2008
Interested in creating, launching and leading the next award-winning print publication for the power industry? Are you passionate about the new world of intelligent transmission and distribution and yet tired of the same old T&D magazines—dry, no design element... frankly, boring?

Want to use your creativity and experience to create THE must-read transmission and distribution publication for the entire power industry? How about delivering news and information that power professionals can actually use to perform their jobs? If you have proven skills and experience in journalism and in the T&D space, we would like to talk with you. We're looking for an:

Editor-in-Chief (Power Transmission & Distribution Guru)

to launch and lead our newest print publication. We’re looking for someone who knows the transmission and distribution system inside and out. You must be passionate about smart grid, outage management, SCADA and automation. Your success will be defined by leading and delivering editorial content  that helps industry professionals perform their jobs more effectively—making the publication a must-read by its targeted audience.

To be considered you must have proven success in leading internal and external sources to create must-read content for the T&D professional. Your background should include: an understanding of the information requirements for professionals in the T&D space and the content they need to consume to be successful in their roles; demonstration of content that has previously accomplished that task; and evidence of delivering superior editorial content under tight time frames. You will ensure our publication meets the changing needs of our audience and produce the must-read T&D publication for the electric power industry.

Minimum requirements
• Extensive knowledge within the T&D segment of the power industry and strong relationships with T&D personnel at utilities, consulting agencies and industry vendors.
• Proven success in creation and delivery of content that is must-read versus nice-to-have information.
