b_200_0_16777215_0___images_stories_WebNews2009_infracanadacentral2009.jpg FLIR Systems Ltd. completed what it calls its most successful series of InfraCanada/InfraQuebec and infrared user group conferences in Oakville, Montreal and Calgary in June. The events had dedicated streams on IR for building science applications, with experts in the field like: Paul Frisk of the Infrared Training Centre; Tony Colantonio from Public Works and Government Services Canada; Tang Lee from the University of Calgary; and Jacques Wagner of Multi-Pro Plus.

The Industrial Maintenance track was well-represented by: John Craven of Sixth Sense, who highlighted automated thermography solutions; Ultrasound Basics from UE Systems; Larry Cote from CINDE (Canadian Institute for NDE) on successful maintenance programs; and Martin Lavoie of the Ministry of Transportation on asphalt paving applications. There were several general interest topics, too, including RF inspection for buried utility.
