Tom Shaffer joins Alumen8 division as national sales manager

Tom Shaffer, a commercial lighting industry sales and applications specialist, has joined the Alumen8 division of Amerillum Corporation.

In this position, Shaffer is responsible for sales planning, forecasting and sales-force management. He is in charge of Alumen8 independent professional sales representatives nationwide, helping develop specifications for energy-conserving luminaires in commercial, institutional and industrial lighting specifications, indoors and out. Presently completing a degree in business at the University of Phoenix, and with a background in lighting photometrics and applications, Shaffer is available to confer with lighting-design professionals, corporate clients and installation specialists.

Over the course his 18-year career, Shaffer was most recently with BJB Electric L.P., as president/managing director. He previously held positions with General Electric in their OEM commercial lamp manufacturing division, and with EYE Lighting International. In both positions, he assisted specifiers in matching optimal lamp and fixture combinations for architectural and interior project electrical requirements
