VIDEO - That’s what ITS is all about

Some call it low-voltage, others datacom or voice/data/video, but whatever; for years we’ve been encouraging you to get involved in information technology systems, or ITS, seeing it as an excellent business opportunity.
Here to help explain the those opportunities—and where to get the training and certification you need—are Peter Levoy, vice president, channel sales, Enterprise Cabling Solutions with Anixter and current Canadian Region Director for BICSI, and John Bakowski, president of ITS Design & Audit and a past-president of BICSI.

They discuss the evolution and integration of information technology systems, and encourage the participation of data & electrical contractors, security integrators, systems integrators, data centre designers and managers, as well as IT consultants. Also covered is the importance of standards and training. And where best to get all that? BICSI’s upcoming Canadian Conference & Tradeshow in Niagara Falls, Ont.

Bicsi should concentrate on getting engineers to properly seperate scope of works in their tender documents so we can all leverage these disciplines without requiring to become electricians or having to supply our price to an electrical firm in order to do our chosen work
