It’s 2012 and the new Canadian Electrical Code has hit the street. In an effort to help get the word out, CSA’s Stephen Brown and Tim Pope visited our offices to point out some of the major changes in the 2012 version, and stress the importance of keeping current.
We also discussed the importance of regularly updating the electrical code (and the drivers behind it), and the sheer breadth of experience and stakeholder engagement that goes into the creation of this vital document.

I live in Alberta and have heard that not until the end of the year will Alberta start looking at adopting this new book.
So using this book now could lead to failed installations.
Why did they get rid of table 17?
Why did they decide #14 is good for twice the current?
Anyone know why they do these things?
