July 21, 2015 – Plan Group Inc., a Canadian technical services provider and subsidiary of Bouygues Energies & Services, says it has fully acquired Gastier M.P. Inc. from Investissements Hexagone Inc.

Gastier, based in Anjou, Que., specializes in electrical, instrumentation, piping, plumbing and mechanical works, maintenance of industrial plants and steel construction. Established in 1971, Gastier generated over $140 million in revenue in 2014 with 120 permanent employees and approximately 500 hourly employees, according to Plan Group.

“Gastier is an excellent partner for Plan Group. It is a longstanding company with a solid brand, strong management team and consistent values” says Bill Kurtin, Plan Group’s CEO. “We’re very excited about what this means for our future.”

This acquisition is an important step in Plan Group’s national growth strategy, the company added, as it “solidifies Plan Group’s presence in the industrial sector while expanding its electrical and mechanical construction capabilities and relationships within the commercial construction and services sectors”. Also, Plan Group said it provides the opportunity to further advance and market its ICAT (Information, Communications & Automation Technologies) service.

Plan Group noted Gastier’s management team will remain in place, as will the company name, logo and brand.
