Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. and PV Powered announced the introduction of PV inverter products and the expansion of service offerings at the Intersolar 2010 show. The show took place Jul 13-15 in San Francisco, CA and featured the 500kW solar inverter, the SiteGuardSM program, and the PV Powered 35kW and 50kW commercial inverters.
PV Powered explains the 500kW solar inverters are for “utility scale, large commercial, and ground mount grid-tied PV installations". This product family includes the Solaron 500kW 600V bipolar, the 500kW 1000V, and the PV Powered 500kW 600V meant to “enable customers to optimize the levelized cost of energy.”
The SiteGuardSM (Solar Maintenance) program has been extended to cover all the company’s commercial grid-tied inverter products and features the SafeGuard 99% uptime guarantee.
The PV Powered 35kW and 50kW commercial inverters are “uniquely-sized models” that are the “perfect solution for small-to-midrange commercial applications,” says the company. They are designed to deliver 20+ year operating lifetimes, like other PV Powered commercial inverters.
Cooper B-Line unveiled its Arista mounting system for solar photovoltaic (PV) commercial rooftop applications. The company says that, unlike other PV mounting systems, the field-adjustable Arista’s pre-assembled fittings and clamps make installation easy, resulting in a reduced cost-per-watt that lowers total installation costs. The system can be used to support virtually any solar PV panel type or size, boasts Cooper, and can be landscape or portrait mounted. Ballasted and positively tied options provide added flexibility, while the system’s hinged design allows for rooftop maintenance without disconnecting panels.
Cooper B-Line has launched a new website focusing on its solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions. The site focuses on Cooper’s offerings in the balance of system category, including commercial rooftop, ground-mount and custom-engineered solar PV solutions. The company says visitors will benefit from in-depth product information and the ability to connect with Cooper B-Line’s designated Solar Team—a group of engineers that lend their expertise to all phases of the solar PV system design and installation process.
