mt_ignoreBased in the Greater Vancouver area, Viridian Power is the leading supplier of temporary power services in Western Canada. We are currently growing at a rapid rate and, having secured substantial work this coming fall and winter for projects related to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games, we are currently accepting applications from:

Ticketed, Qualified Electrical Journeymen

who are interested in working at the various venues for the Games.

Successful candidates will possess the following skills and abilities:

• Familiarity with temporary power installations is an asset.

• Knowledge and experience working with generators will be an asset.
• Working directly with our clients onsite, the ability to project a professional image and to possess excellent customer service skills is extremely important.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills both written and verbal are an asset.
• First Aid Training, CPR, WHMIS are an asset.
• The willingness and ability to work the varied hours that the entertainment / event industries require.
• Hold a valid driver’s licence.

Please note that these are temporary positions that will be starting at various times during the fall and run through March 2010. Hours of work will vary, and will be contingent upon the venue requirements. Long hours and weekends will be involved. Certain individuals will be credentialed at the various sporting venues, which will require security and background checks.

Viridian is a non-union company, offering industry-competitive wages. Labour subcontracting opportunities are available as well.
