Security Specialist (Mississauga)

Job Description
The Security Specialist will report to the Divisional Telecom Manager. He/she will be involved in the activities of Outside Sales Representatives as they relate to the service and sales of security products by providing sound advice on technical issues.

Responsibilities will include:
• Investigate and promote new business development opportunities by offering security solutions.
• Analyze areas for improvement and implement action plans accordingly.
• Meet with key customers and suppliers to discuss market trends, future business opportunities, resolve concerns and increase customer awareness.
• Interface with the sales team as required to secure strategic business.
• Provide and/or facilitate training for the division by conducting presentations and learning sessions.
• Develop and strengthen supplier relationships.
• Keep abreast of the industry to identify key competitor and customer contacts.

This position requires someone with:
• In-depth knowledge of CCTV and Access Controls (tertiary qualification would be an asset).
• Ability to read architectural blueprints and produce schematic drawings.
• Proven track record of successfully growing market share.
• Ability to build strategic partnerships, identify potential sales and develop those accounts.
• Strong communication (both written and oral) interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated.

This position requires overnight travel within Ontario.
