PAT Institute’s is Registered as a private career college under the  Private Career College Act, 2005. Service Ontario Website. We are also registered with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.  PAT Institute currently offers academic credits to prepare candidates for entry into an apprenticeship. PAT Institute is designed exclusively in preparing young adults to succeed in skilled trades through the developed of strong technical and academic foundations. Our mythology of training supports practical learning which gives our graduates a jumpstart in meeting the high industry standards which they will be faced with in industry.

We are exclusive to skilled trades and place candidates in jobs with small, medium and large companies by delivering a hands on approach to training that will support practical learning and demands in industry.

Our target audience are men and women 21 years of age and older looking for access to high paying technical jobs.
 

Is the Pre-Apprenticeship Program right for you?

  • Men and Women looking for access to high paying jobs. (Avg. salary $50,000-$70,000/yr., as a certified trades person.)

  • Individuals who want direct access into the workplace, enter an apprenticeship and gain marketable technical skills.

  • Individuals who seek flexible work schedules

  • Strong interest in skilled trades and want to work in a safe industry.

  • Men and Women who require upgrading to access high paying jobs, promising employment stability, financial security and multiple career options and pathways.

Students who are uncertain of their financial situation are urged to contact the Financial Aid & Awards office. At the Pre-Apprenticeship Training Institute, we are committed that the cost of education will never be the reason that anyone does not achieve their potential.

Assessment and Analysis

  • Trades Orientation for Men and Women

  • Applicants will receive an occupational assessment to determine strengths and opportunities relating to general technical programs

  • Successful candidates will receive an Individual Education Plan

Training Delivery

  • Courses are delivered by certified skilled trades people

  • In-class course component of 12 weeks, 6 hrs. per day

  • Training is conducted in a state of the art facility within a two story home mock-up structure

  • Each student will receive a set of industry tools, and safety equipment.

  • PAT Institute will arrange funding for all students that qualify

  • Industry standard safety training in compliance with the WHIMS requirements so that graduates will meet the safety standards for the construction industry

Bridging the Gap

Currently the demand for skilled trades is very high across the country. With 35% of experienced trades people becoming eligible for retirement, in a market where construction permit requests continue to reach record levels, we offer the practical training to pursue these opportunities.

Training to Build a Future

We offer pre-apprentice programs making it possible for employer members to hire and train people for the current and future job demands in the construction industry.
