Aurora, Ont., July 2008 — Electrical Business is pleased to announce the winner of the Heritage “What Am I?” Photo Contest for the May 2008 edition, who correctly identified the mystery heritage item on page 4 as a lamp and fuse tester (for incandescent lamps and screw-type fuses):
• Tony Poirier, Durham College (Whitby, Ont.).
Electrical Business launched the photo contest in cooperation with the Electrical Heritage Society of British Columbia as well as generous industry partners. In this contest, readers guess the nature of an electrical artifact from the society’s collection to win cool prizes—in our winner’s case, a DeWALT D28770 heavy-duty deep cut variable speed band valued at about $450 (in photo).
This concludes the Electrical Business Heritage “What Am ?” Photo Contest... for now.
Stay tuned to EB for other neat contests and cool prizes!
