Carlo Gavazzi launches RGx1P proportional output controllers

January 18, 2016 | By Renée Francoeur

January 18, 2016 – Carlo Gavazzi has launched the 2016 edition of its single-phase RGx1P proportional output controllers. With a typical solid-state relay, the output from measuring or monitoring devices is an analogue signal that needs to be converted to a discrete signal to control a “common” solid-state relay. But with RG proportional output controllers, Carlo Gavazzi explains, there is no need for this conversion.

Upon input from an analogue signal, Carlo Gavazzi says its RG controller calculates and delivers the necessary output power without the need for an additional interface device. Apart from three full cycle switching modes for basic heating applications, the RG series also features full cycle control for shortwave infrared heaters, phase angle switching mode for resistive heaters, light dimming and speed control of AC fans and soft starting for heating elements with low cold state resistance.
