May 26, 2016 – “I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to those affected by the wildfires that are causing so much devastation in the Fort McMurray […] vicinity.” So begins the letter dated May 19 to Greenlee customers from J. Scott Hall, president, Textron Industrial Segment & Greenlee. But wait… it gets better.

“We strive to provide support and help whenever it is needed in our customers’ communities. Alberta is one of our largest Canadian markets, largely due to sales in the Fort McMurray area. Regrettably, many of these customers have employees who have lost their homes in this fire.”

“Textron and its subsidiaries, including Greenlee, have pledged $100,000 US dollars to support local relief and recovery efforts. It is our hope that you can join us in providing relief to this very worthy cause. The places we do business are important to our industry and us all.”
