Report finds revenue for commercial building retrofits to flourish by 2025

July 15, 2016 – The global revenue for energy efficiency commercial building retrofits is expected to grow from $71.4 billion in 2016 to $100.8 billion in 2025, according to a new report from Navigant Research.

“Worldwide, countries are making commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to mitigate climate change,” says Alvin Chen, research analyst with Navigant Research. “Energy efficiency retrofits will be a key component toward reducing existing energy consumption and reducing the need for new generation.”

Steady global growth in the market for energy efficiency commercial building retrofits is expected during the next decade, according to the report. Asia Pacific is expected to lead in revenue market share with 36% in 2016, driven by an increase in regulations and incentives specifically in China and Japan.

The report, Energy Efficiency Retrofits for Commercial and Public Buildings, analyzes market and technology issues related to energy efficiency retrofits, with a focus on: HVAC, lighting, building controls, water efficiency, water heating, building envelope, energy production, commissioning, and installation.
