December 1, 2015 – Halco Lighting Technologies’ chairman and CEO Allan Nelkin has officially retired from his positions at the company as of last week.

Halco Lighting says it has grown exponentially since being acquired by Nelkin in 1991.

“Doing what is best for your customers is paramount to any company’s success. It isn’t a set of rules or a policy… it’s an attitude, it’s the right attitude,” Nelkin said. “And of equal importance,” he added, “we had a lot of fun along the way.”

Current Halco president, Kim Cook, has assumed the role of CEO. Cook has been with Halco Lighting for over 23 years.

“Allan’s leadership and guidance made him not only a pivotal figure in Halco’s success, but one in the entire lighting industry”, she said. “And while he will be sorely missed here, his influence will continue to guide individuals within this organization for years to come.”
