September 8, 2015 – The MSA/XTIRPA manhole guard system for confined space entry allows for vertical or horizontal entry into common confined space applications such tanks, vessels, transformers, sewers and manholes.

The system is lightweight, portable and easy to set up, says MSA, but all components must be purchased separately. The manhole guard with integrated mast barricades exposed entry points while providing strength for fall protection, entry and retrieval applications. The davit arm and manhole guard with integrated mast interface reduces material surrounding the confined space entry, lessening possible trip and fall hazards, adds the company.
