April 5, 2016 – Transport Canada has announced a recall from Ford involving the 2015 Transit van models. About 839 units are thought to be affected.

On certain vehicles equipped with side curtain airbags, the side curtain airbag assemblies may not have been manufactured and installed with the intended design fold orientation, Ford notes. If the side curtain airbag fold is not oriented properly, it could prevent the airbag from deploying as intended.

The company says dealers will inspect the side curtain air bags on both sides of the vehicle, and will re-orient them if required.
