July 15, 2016 | By Renée Francoeur

July 15, 2016 – Construction of the Moose Lake Wind Project, developed by Boralex Inc. and Aeolis Wind Power Corp. is slated to kick off on July 18. The project, located 24 km north-west of Tumbler Ridge, B.C. (near Highway 29), will have four turbines with a total capacity of 15MW and will create around 40 jobs during its one-year construction phase.

Boralex notes the Moose Lake Wind Project—which represents a $70-million investment—completed an environmental impact assessment and received a General Area Licence of Occupation in September 2014. The Project then received a Standing Offer Program Electricity Purchase Agreement from BC Hydro in December 2015.
