May 3, 2013 - Affiliated Distributors Canada’s (A-D’s) electrical sales grew 7% in the first quarter of 2013 on a same store basis from $320 million to $344 million. A-D U.S. electrical sales grew 4% to $2.9 million for the same quarter.

November 15, 2012 - Affiliated Distributors (AD)—a North American wholesale marketing/buying group—announced it has entered into a letter of intent to merge with Canadian electrical buying group, Independent Electrical Distributors (IED). The merger significantly strengthens the market position of electrical independents in Canada and commands 23% of the total market.

July 31, 2012 - Sales for Affiliated Distributors (A-D) affiliates grew by 12% in the first half of 2012 to $12.8 billion, says the community of independent distributors and manufacturers of construction and industrial products.

(Updated May 25, 2012) May 24, 2012 - Ideal Supply hosted its annual tradeshow May 9-10 at the Stratford Rotary Complex in Ontario. This year’s event featured 170 booths and hosted over 1600 customers. Some of the show’s highlight included: autograph session with Ron Capps, the NAPA NHRA driver; Shell-sponsored Ferrari F1 race car; Sylvania displayed their Academy Award Oscar for Display Optic HMI Light; and the casino theme, where one lucky customer won a trip for two to Sin City.
