April 10, 2013 - Diversity Canada Magazine is recognizing 18 women executives and managers “who have been thought and action leaders in opening doors and removing barriers for women, aboriginals and visible minorities” in Canada for 2013, and among them are Gerrie Electric’s Elaine Gerrie and Acklands-Grainger’s Donna Pascale.

January 25, 2013 - When at Acklands-Grainger’s The Works 2013, we stumbled upon a vendor whose motto is “Outdoor writing products for outdoor writing people”. Back in the 1920s, Jerry Darling developed the early version of Rite in the Rain all-weather writing paper to address hassle of soggy and illegible paperwork for the Pacific Northwest logging industry... and the product has been evolving since. Today, the product is totally recyclable as standard paper, while its ‘Polydura’ cover and reference card substrate contains post-consumer recycled materials and is, itself, recyclable.

July 25, 2012 - Acklands-Grainger Inc.—a distributor of industrial, safety and fastener products—says it has launched new and improved features to its website to help you navigate to products and solutions more efficiently. A customer utility toolbar was added to streamline how customers order through the website. This feature provides access to order history, personalizes order lists, details for products selected for purchase, and the ability to view locations for pick-up convenience. With product search generating 75% of website traffic, the goal was to make the search experience as seamless as possible, says the distributor. The product tab now includes 200+ subcategories to help customers narrow their search faster right from the homepage. In addition, the company added a new product detail page that includes enhanced images and product-specific information.

March 8, 2012 - Early this morning, Grainger announced that Sean O’Brien, president of Acklands-Grainger Inc. (Grainger’s wholly owned Canadian subsidiary), will resign from the company effective March 23, 2012. O’Brien joined Acklands-Grainger as vice-president sales in November 2007, taking on additional responsibilities for e-business and marketing in early 2009. He was named president in September 2009.
