May 3, 2013 - Affiliated Distributors Canada’s (A-D’s) electrical sales grew 7% in the first quarter of 2013 on a same store basis from $320 million to $344 million. A-D U.S. electrical sales grew 4% to $2.9 million for the same quarter.

November 15, 2012 - Affiliated Distributors (AD)—a North American wholesale marketing/buying group—announced it has entered into a letter of intent to merge with Canadian electrical buying group, Independent Electrical Distributors (IED). The merger significantly strengthens the market position of electrical independents in Canada and commands 23% of the total market.
