June 19, 2013 - EBMag has returned from Milwaukee, Wisc.—home of the Milwaukee Brewers, Pabst Blue Ribbon and of course, Milwaukee Electric Tool. We were pleased to attend the company’s annual New Product Symposium, an exclusive media event to preview and test dozens of new products in the company’s homecity. Our own Alyssa Dalton, EBMag’s associate editor, also demo’d some tools. Can you spot her in our gallery?
May 27, 2013 - EBMag was there at Cree’s LED bulb launch this month in Toronto, Ont., with Home Depot representatives and Vampire Diaries’ actor and environmental advocate Ian Somerhalder. Designed to offer consumers a “no-compromise lighting experience at a compelling price,” the Cree LED bulb boasts the look and lighting effect of a traditional incandescent bulb—all while using 84% less energy. Cree’s LED Filament Tower technology provides a compact light source within a real glass bulb. The 40W LED delivers 450 lumens, consumes 6W and is offered in 2700K colour temperature, while the 60W LED delivers 800 lumens, consumes 9.5W and is available in warm white 2700K and daylight 5000K colour temperatures.
