March 22, 2012 - Brady has updated its NetDoc2 cable management software to offer improvements to the user interface, giving users a more efficient solution for marking cables, hardware, assets, pathways and locations, it says. One notable enhance to the NetDoc2.2 software update is the new Visual Connector interface, which provides a visual interpretation of the components accompanied by the respective quantity of ports. It features drag-and-drop functionality to connect ports, assets, horizontal links and termination hardware. Users can document assets, horizontal links, backbones and termination hardware from the Visual Connector drop-down selection list.

February 21, 2012 - Brady has introduced the BMP51 Label Maker, which features a backlit display screen, label design applications, a QWERTY keyboard and connectivity options for wireless printing. According to the company, the BMP51 is the perfect printer for users who need to make labels on the go. It also offers a built-in Brady Network Card with Bluetooth technology and optional Wi-Fi card, which when combined with Brady’s new mobile Apps, allow users to design and print labels wirelessly using their Android smartphone.

January 25, 2012 - Brady recently collaborated with Siemon to release the latest version of LabelMark Label Design Software, which features several updates for electrical, lab and voice/data applications. The most noteworthy feature of the LabelMark 5.4 Software, according to the companies, is a time-saving datacomm wizard that offers pre-made label templates based on Siemon’s most common network connectivity. With the new datacomm wizard in LabelMark 5.4 Software, technicians can select Siemon as their network hardware manufacturer and hardware model, and the appropriate label template will be automatically generated. After selecting the label template, users are guided to apply labeling legend data and save the cable markers and label files they’ve created for patch panels, jacks, and other hardware. "It allows technicians to save a complete job, which can be used for quick label kitting at future on-site cable drops and rack installations," they explained.

January 23, 2012 - Brady has launched ToughJet Durable Adhesive Sheets for Inkjet printers, a line of printable label sheets designed to be "extremely durable and can withstand water, chemicals and abrasion without yellowing, fading or falling off," it said. Available in full-sized and die-cut label sheets, they can be used to create safety signs, procedures, warning labels, lean manufacturing visuals, and other internal employee communications. The sheets feature a self-adhesive backing for different surfaces, such as metal, glass, plastic, cement and wood.
