Canadian Solar modules power 10MW Cornwall solar plant
January 25, 2013 - Canadian Solar Inc. has announced its subsidiary, Canadian Solar Solutions Inc., has signed a 10MW AC supply agreement with Algonquin Power Co., to provide modules for a utility-scale solar power project in Cornwall, Ont. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2013, with the project expected to be fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2013.

Canadian Solar receives CSA1000V certification for utility-scale deployments
January 2, 2013 - Canadian Solar has announced it has been awarded CSA1000V certification, adding that with this certification, its solar modules are now authorized to receive 1000V of maximum system voltage. This will allow the company to more efficiently meet customer demand for high-voltage applications in the Americas, while reducing overall system costs, it said.

Canadian Solar to supply 17MW of solar modules to Potentia Solar for Ontario
June 27, 2012 - Canadian Solar has entered into a master supply agreement for 17MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules with Potentia Solar, an independent power producer in Ontario. Potentia will use the solar modules to power a number of commercial rooftop solar systems to be installed in major urban areas in Ontario.

Canadian Solar and SkyPower conclude purchase agreement, launch international joint venture
June 22, 2012 - Canadian Solar Inc. and SkyPower Global closed their purchase transaction, under which Canadian Solar has acquired a majority interest in 16 solar projects from SkyPower representing about 190-200 MWDC. The companies also formally launched an international 50:50 joint venture agreement called CSI SkyPower.

April 17, 2012 - Today, Canadian Solar Inc. and SkyPower Ltd. entered into a purchase and international joint venture agreement, which creates a team “comprising one of the world’s largest solar companies and Canada’s largest owner and developer of solar projects” to build and deploy solar energy solutions in Ontario, and jointly develop solar projects internationally in “select emerging markets”.

Canadian Solar and TransCanada announce sales agreement for Ontario 86MW solar project portfolio
December 21, 2011 - Canadian Solar Inc. has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Canadian Solar Solutions Inc. (CSSI), has entered into a sales agreement with TransCanada Corp., where the latter will acquire a 86MW AC solar project portfolio for approximately $470 million dollars.
