Graybar Direct Attach solution at 2012 BICSI Winter Conference
February 9, 2012 - Graybar, a distributor of electrical, communications and data networking products and provider of related supply chain management and logistics services, has identified another method for network connections in commercial facilities, known as Direct Attach. According to Graybar, Direct Attach is a simpler, more secure solution than the traditional method for connecting IP network devices in certain building-system applications, such as security cameras, wireless access points and lighting controls. Also known as the single connector modified permanent link method, Direct Attach removes the jack and patch cord from a typical Ethernet connection and attaches the device directly to a modular plug on the end of the horizontal Ethernet cable.
Graybar will exhibit the solution at its booth at the 2012 BICSI Winter Conference and Exhibition, on February 12 to 16. NETcomm will be there, will you?
