May 22, 2012 - Ideal Industries has announced an upgraded version of its HeatSeeker handheld thermal imaging camera now with twice the resolution of legacy models and a wider field-of-view to improve troubleshooting efficiency. Engineered with a 320 x 240 2MP sensor that captures 76K pixels, the new HeatSeeker 320 is suitable for applications such as energy audits, data center evaluation, industrial maintenance and electrical safety. Other key features include picture-in-picture imaging, text and voice annotation of images and sequence image recording by time or alarm settings.

May 22, 2012 - Ideal Industries claims its new Power-Spade spade bit helps eliminate problems to provide an increased level of performance, whether the user is boring through wood, cement board, composite enclosures or ceiling tile. The Power-Spade sports a full-cone threaded tip and self-feeding action to promote smoother, vibration-free drilling while the contoured paddle helps remove chips from the hole. The bit comes in a size range of 1/2" to 1-1/4", including standard shank bits and "stubby" short shank models (3/4", 7/8", 1") that permit access in tight areas such as between studs or inside cabinets where standard length spades will not fit.

February 9, 2012 - To help protect against exposed electrical systems in the event a streetlight gets knocked down, Ideal Industries has introduced its SLK Disconnect Fuse Kit, a waterproof breakaway safety device that de-energizes roadway lights, streetlights, parking lot lights and electrical vehicle charging stations. The kit also aims to protect service personnel who are performing maintenance. The fuse stays on the de-energized load side when separated, which helps to protect those nearby as well. The kit is listed to UL's ECIS category for special purpose connectors.

December 22, 2011 - Ideal has introduced its Quick Change screwdriver 35-933 with the Sure-Loc Quick Change chuck, which eliminates magnetic debris pick-up and dropped bits, it says. The screwdriver features a E-Z Spin high torque cap, and a flip cap that accesses a built-in bit storage cavity which holds up to five extra Insert bits. The driver shaft is coated in black oxide for corrosion resistance and heat-treated for strength.

December 22, 2011 - Ideal Industries has expanded its line to include more than 60 new SKU's of industrial-grade screwdriver bits. The bits are constructed from S2M tool steel, and are manufactured to tight tolerances to ensure the most accurate fit and full fastener engagement, it says. Both insert and power type bits are available in standard size: Phillips, Slotted and Square designs. As part of the introduction, Ideal is also offering accessories such as the Quick Change Chuck, socket adapters, magnetic bit holders and magnetic nut setters.
