May 22, 2012 - Bridgelux  has expanded its Decor 97 CRI product series, which was originally introduced in October 2011. The Decor series now offers increased efficiency as well as a broader range of light sources—from 500 to 5000 operational lumens in three colour temperatures, 2700, 3000 and 3500K. With a CRI of 97 and a 3-step MacAdam Ellipse colour control option, the company claims the arrays enable lighting designers to accurately render a full palette of colours over a wide range of light levels.

May 8, 2012 - Standard Products is now offering new dimmable decorative candle, globe and A15 lamps all claim to emit a light that delivers ambiance and style at a fraction of the energy costs of its incandescent equivalents. The new shapes include candles (B10), globes (G16.5) and A15 lamps. The lamps are available in a colour temperature of 2700K and 3W and 5W. Applications include wall sconces, chandeliers, ornamental fixtures and decorative lighting applications.

April 10, 2012 - Tempo Industries' new Series 7000 linear LED luminaires claim to provide white low-glare, direct-downward, ultra long-life illumination at low watts. Series 7000 is offered in standard four- and eight-foot lengths with energy efficient, thermally optimized Zamak housings pioneered by Tempo, while lengths can be joined mechanically and electrically into continuous rows, adds the company. The series is listed for damp locations.

April 10, 2012 - Phoenix Products Company has launched the ModCom series, an instant-on, surface-mounted LED fixture designed to replace high wattage HID floodlights. The LED luminaire delivers up to 25,000 lumens and offers a 70% energy savings when compared to a 1000W HPS fixture, it adds. The series is IP 67 rated and ETL/cETL certified to UL 1598, 1598A Marine Outside Type (Saltwater) and CSA C22.2 No. 250.0.

PHOENIX PRODUCTS COMPANY

April 10, 2012 - Halco Lighting Technologies has introduced its 16W ProLED PAR38 lamps which claim to offer high power LED with superior optics and thermal construction for long life and energy efficient illumination. According to the company, the lamps are 82% more efficient than 90W Halogen PAR38s over the life of the ProLED lamp, and produce up to 1020 lumens. The bulbs are UL rated for damp locations.

HALCO LIGHTING TECHNOLOGIES

March 23, 2012 - Acuity Brands has expanded the Lithonia Lighting VTLED indoor lighting series with new 100+ lumens per watt (LPW) luminaire. The 100+ LPW luminaire is a new standard offering for VTLED 2’ x 4’ and 1’ x 4’ configurations. New optional features, including 2.5 McAdams ellipses and L80 performance for up to 50,000 hours, are also available for the VTLED and RTLED product lines.

LITHONIA LIGHTING

March 16, 2012 - Holophane describes its next generation acrylic Washington PostLite II LED luminaires as delivering increased lumens per watt, improved lighted appearance and reduced uplight and light trespass. According to the company, the new LED optical design replicates HID light levels with asymmetric and symmetric distribution and comfortable, low-glare in multiple lumen packages for design flexibility. Like the original, the new generation is optimized to meet Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) RP8 street lighting recommended practice. The LED system offers a rated life of 50,000 hours.
