April 23, 2012 - Tyne Engineering Inc. and Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. (AECL) announced the official opening of a new Tyne manufacturing, development and test facility in the town of Deep River, Ont. Located in proximity to the AECL Chalk River Laboratories, the new Tyne will be home to some of the company’s manufacturing activities, including work on hydrogen and oxygen recombination, and hydrogen isotope separation technologies.

March 26, 2012 - The technology for enabling the fabled ‘hydrogen economy’—an era based on hydrogen fuel that replaces gasoline, diesel and other fossil fuels—has, apparently, been available for decades, and could begin commercial production of hydrogen in this decade.

January 26, 2012 - Westinghouse Electric Company LLC yesterday announced the formation of Westinghouse Electric Canada Inc. to “better serve its Canadian customers, strengthen its ties with Canadian suppliers, and align itself more appropriately with the regulations and requirements in Canada to meet growing business opportunities”. The headquarters will be located in Toronto, Ont.
