April 26, 2012 - Babcock & Wilcox Canada Ltd. has been awarded a contract valued at more than $25 million from SaskPower to design and replace the upper frontwall and a portion of the reheater at the latter’s Shand Power Station near Estevan.
April 17, 2012 - SaskPower is launching a new program that will provide term employment positions to four graduates of Sandy Bay’s Hector Thiboutot Community School each year. The new grads will work at SaskPower’s nearby Island Falls Hydroelectric Station, located two kilometres upriver of Sandy Bay on the Churchill River, near the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border.
