May 16, 2013 - UL is notifying consumers and retailers that the compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) identified below bears a counterfeit UL Mark for Canada and the United States. It has not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate standards for safety.
April 30, 2013 - UL is notifying distributors, contractors, fire departments, regulatory agencies and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) that the heat detector identified below bears a counterfeit UL Mark, and has not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate standards for safety. It is unknown whether the detector complies with any safety requirements.
April 30, 2013 - UL is warning consumers, electrical installers and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) that the duplex receptacle identified below may pose a fire or shock hazard. It does not comply with UL’s safety requirements and is not authorized to bear the UL Mark.
April 29, 2013 - Aamsco Lighting has announced that Alinea, a UL-listed incandescent architectural lamp fixture, is now available in LED. The fully-dimmable Alinea LED comes in lengths of 11.81-in, 19.69-in, and 39.78-in, and colour temperatures ranging from 2500K to 3500K for accent lighting in commercial and residential applications. Consuming 4W to 11W per fixture, the Alinea LED delivers 225 lumens to 700 lumens per watt with a 25,000-hour estimated average life. It can be mounted as a single fixture, or mounted end-to-end for seamless illumination.

April 12, 2013 - UL is warning the public about a fluorescent luminaire manufactured in March 2008 bearing a counterfeit UL Mark for Canada and the United States.
April 10, 2013 - Cable manufacturer Helukabel says its Nanoflex line of hygienic control power and data cables have been approved by UL and CSA, meaning it can be used in industries requiring machinery and its component parts to resist microorganisms. The cable’s conductors are enclosed in a specially formulated PUR outer jacket that prohibits bacterial growth. Furthermore, the Nanoflex’s outer jacket is hydrolysis- and detergent-resistant, allowing it to withstand cleaning processes used to sterilize equipment. The entire line is UV, oxygen, ozone and radiation resistant up to 110 Mrad. In addition to the recently received UL and CSA approvals, Nanoflex power and data cables also have CE approval for companies manufacturing equipment for export to Europe.

It has not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate standards for safety. It is unknown whether this lampholder complies with UL safety requirements.

This credential enables UL to create standards exclusively for Canada along with fully harmonized bi-national standards for the U.S.-Canada marketplace.
