May 22, 2012 - Hydro One’s free mobile app is now available for download on smartphone and tablet devices, allowing customers to check the status of power outages anywhere in Hydro One’s service area.
May 9, 2012 - Rittal is now offering RiTherm– an iPhone, iTouch and iPad app which calculates climate control requirements for individual enclosure assemblies. The app provides a compact variant of the full software version "Therm 6.1" and guides users to the most suitable, climate control component: project title, parameter, enclosure, selection, recommendation.

February 24, 2012 - Android users can now access performance data from any photovoltaic (PV) system on the SMA Sunny Portal. Available for free download from the Android Market, the SMA Sunny Portal Android application allows solar power system owners and operators to manage, monitor and display PV system performance instantly, anytime and anywhere, it boasts. According to the company, the app will conserve both time and costs, because users will be able to instantly access system data to ensure peak production and discover unnoticed performance disturbances. This new addition complements SMA’s Sunny Portal and Solarchecker iPhone apps.

Eaton launches PowerEdge mobile app for iPhone and iPad
December 2, 2011 - Eaton Corp. just introduced the PowerEdge mobile application to provide real-time access to Eaton’s electrical catalogues, videos and training. The company’s electrical products can now be searched, selected and located directly from an Apple iPhone or iPad device. “As the importance of the digital landscape continues to grow, information needs to be available on-demand, and mobile apps are helping customers and channel partners alike get information when and where they need it,” said Kevin McLean, senior vice president, global marketing, Eaton Corp.’s Electrical Sector. The PowerEdge app features: the entire electrical product catalogue; the ability to search to find specific features or catalogue numbers; a video library with business overviews, training and expert interviews; a locator function that searches within a radius and product category to map the nearest Eaton channel partners, and more.
