April 30, 2013 - Canada scooped up three awards at this year’s GE Edison Awards competition, an international contest to lighting professionals who demonstrate creative and significant use of GE light sources (lamps and/or LEDs) in a lighting design project completed during the previous year.

March 19, 2013 - Ontario’s Electricity Distributors Association (EDA) announced the winners of its annual industry awards, and among the chosen few were: Burlington Hydro, Toronto Hydro, PowerStream, Niagara Peninsula Energy and Horizon Utilities. Congratulations to all.

February 25, 2013 - Electrical Business has just learned Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC, formerly Electricity Sector Council [ESC]) is conducting its 2013 Conference and Inaugural Awards Gala at the Intercontinental Hotel in Toronto, Ont., November 6-7, 2013.

December 28, 2012 - Eye Lighting has received the Showstopper Award at the 2012 National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) convention for its kíaroLED luminaire, describing its colour correcting optics improve uniformity and reduce colour shift by redirecting light. KíaroLED features a custom die-cast housing and various illumination levels, colour temperatures, distribution types, and intelligent controls for energy upgrade and Dark Sky projects. According to Eye Lighting, the luminaire was designed for easy installation and maintenance to help cut energy usages and costs.

November 1, 2012 - Acuity Brands' Canvis OLED luminaire collection marketed by Winona Lighting and Easyl show controller were honoured with Innovation Awards from IIDEX Canada 2012—the Canvis collection was awarded Silver in the innovative lighting category, and the Easyl show controller for RGB luminaires won Bronze in the lighting controls category.

EBMag was there for Affiliated Distributors’ North American Meeting of the Electrical Supply Division (NAM ESD), where the highlight was the Awards Dinner.
