April 29, 2013 - Aamsco Lighting has announced that Alinea, a UL-listed incandescent architectural lamp fixture, is now available in LED. The fully-dimmable Alinea LED comes in lengths of 11.81-in, 19.69-in, and 39.78-in, and colour temperatures ranging from 2500K to 3500K for accent lighting in commercial and residential applications. Consuming 4W to 11W per fixture, the Alinea LED delivers 225 lumens to 700 lumens per watt with a 25,000-hour estimated average life. It can be mounted as a single fixture, or mounted end-to-end for seamless illumination.
March 20, 2013 - Lighting Science Group has launched the “Edison inspired” A19 and GP19 LED lamp as a direct replacement for traditional general purpose lighting. Boasting the most advanced thermal materials available, the lamps claim to be lighter and more efficient, while less expensive, than ever before. The Definity Professional A19 LED lamp offers up to 71lm/w performance and is dimmable down to 5%. The Definity Professional GP19 LED lamp utilizes lightweight aluminum and achieves Energy Star equivalency performance comparable to a 40W lamp, says the company. The GP19 LED lamp also tops 80 lm/w and is dimmable down to 5%.
February 27, 2013 - Halco Lighting Technologies has expanded its ProLED MR16 series lamps to replace standard 10W, 20W, 35W and 50W halogen MR16 lamps. The new form factor, available in 3W, 4.5W, 6W and 8W, claims to maximize efficiencies and provides uniform beam distribution. With light levels available in Flood, Narrow Flood, Spot and Wide Flood beam angles, the MR16 can be used in traditional MR16 fixtures including those with gimbal rings. With 82 CRI, the lamps are dimmable down to 5%.
December 27, 2012 - Halco Lighting has unveiled its dimmable ProLED B11 chandelier lamps designed for accent, display and retail applications. Described as a true 25W replacement, the ProLED B11 lamp provides 13 times the life of traditional incandescent sources, says Halco. The 3.5W lamps have a candelabra base in 2700K, and produce 82 CRI and 180 lumens. Users can choose between cream, chrome and brass housing options to match existing chandelier finishes.

Halco Lighting 11W ProLED BR30 lamps

December 19, 2012 - Halco Lighting Technologies has launched its 11W ProLED BR30 lamps, which are designed with white housing to blend with luminaire trims. According to Halco, these dimmable lamps provide up to eight times the life of standard 65W incandescent BR30 lamps. With dimming capabilities of up to 5%, they are available in colour temperatures including 2700K, 3000K, 4000K and 5000K. The lamps are damp location rated and ICAT approved, making them ideal for use with downlight luminaries, adds Halco.

December 19, 2012 - Using 11W of power while outputting 830 lumens, the latest generation of Philips’ 60W A-19 LED bulb uses 10% less energy than its 12.5W predecessor, while increasing brightness by nearly 5%, says the company. The new lamp also replaces heat sink fins with a more streamlined appearance, and is designed to reduce energy usage by 85% compared to the traditional 60W incandescent. Dimming capabilities, with the potential to dim down to 2% of light level, are also available.

December 19, 2012 - Lithonia Lighting has introduced the UCLD LED cabinet light, featuring a dimmable, swivel head and an integral driver that eliminates the need for an external power source. The UCLD LED luminaire offers plug-and-play connectivity of up to 29 fixtures that are 24-in. in length to one power source, and claims to deliver up to 85% energy savings when compared to fluorescent. The cabinet light is Energy Star qualified.

Gotham offers Incito LED downlighting series

December 6, 2012 - Gotham Architectural Lighting has introduced the Incito LED downlighting series, boasting numerous lumen packages, ranging from 2000 to 6500 lumens. According to Gotham, the series can handle a range of lighting scenarios with up to 2,000 possible performance combinations. The downlights also offer dimming capabilities from 100% to less than 1% standard.

December 5, 2012 - Cooper Lighting has introduced the Halo ML56 LED recessed downlighting system, offering various lumen packages, four colour temperatures and trim options for 5-in. and 6-in. recessed housings. Colour temperatures include 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K options with either an 80 CRI (minimum) or 90 CRI (minimum) option depending on the model selected. The ML56 series is dimmable down to 15% with standard dimmers or 5% with select dimmers, and is wet and damp location listed (protected ceilings) and RoHS complaint.
