April 10, 2012 - Phoenix Products Company has launched the ModCom series, an instant-on, surface-mounted LED fixture designed to replace high wattage HID floodlights. The LED luminaire delivers up to 25,000 lumens and offers a 70% energy savings when compared to a 1000W HPS fixture, it adds. The series is IP 67 rated and ETL/cETL certified to UL 1598, 1598A Marine Outside Type (Saltwater) and CSA C22.2 No. 250.0.

March 8, 2012 - Lind Equipment describes its newly redesigned LE981 65W fluorescent floodlight as an even more accessible and user-friendly product. The new LE981 has a redesigned yellow housing that brings down the overall size and makes for a more ergonomic experience, says Lind, adding that the new product is priced 20% lower than the previous version. It is Energy Star and cULus certified.

February 24, 2012 - Lumenpulse has launched its Lumenfacade Horizontal, a linear, high-performance, LED projector with a 2-inch profile. Developed for exterior floodlighting and wall grazing of tall structures, each luminaire can be mounted end-to-end to form a continuous line of up to 152 feet using a single power feed (regular output version). The fixture is available in 1’, 2’, 3’, or 4’ sections and is ready for power inputs from 120 to 277 V.

February 24, 2012 - Appleton says it has reinvented the floodlight category with the Areamaster LED luminaire by offering the industry's highest lumens-per-watt output, superior colour rendering, and a service life of more than 60,000 hours. The fixture is rated at 127 watts, and delivers 13,000+ lumens of cool white light in a 131 degree (horizontal) x 134 degree (vertical) beam spread. According to the company, the highly directional light doesn't require the use of external optics, resulting in system efficiencies as high as 80%.

February 14, 2012 - RC Lighting has developed a 13W LED floodlight, titled HSLED13, with a spot focus ideal for illuminating flags and other architectural elements up to 50 feet high, it says. The product features die-cast aluminum housing, hood, and mounting arm as well as a chip and fade-resistant polyester powder coat finish. It is cUL-listed for wet locations and sports a minimum starting temperature of -40°C.

January 13, 2012 - RC Lighting has expanded its LFlood line of floodlights to include the FXLED78, a 78W LED replacement for 250W metal halide floodlights. RC Lighting describes it as the first LED floodlight to offer the benefits of high wattage capabilities in an affordable price range, boasting that it delivers an unprecedented combination of light quality, long life, and affordability to a broad range of outdoor commercial LED lighting applications. The FXLED78 delivers over 5,900 lumens of light, and delivers nearly 70% energy savings relative to standard 250W metal halide systems, adds the company.

November 25, 2011 - Cooper Crouse-Hinds has expanded its LED product offering with the new Champ FMV LED Floodlights, which is available in four models, providing an equivalent 100W-400W similar to Metal Halide floodlights at half the energy consumption, it says. In creating new LED Floodlights, the company says it chose a versatile design suitable for hazardous location use in both gas or dust areas, which also allows it to be used for outdoor and indoor applications at various mounting heights. Offers a 60,000 hours rated lamp life.

COOPER CROUSE-HINDS

November 24, 2011 - RC Lighting’s LFLOOD39– a 39W LED replacement for 150W metal halide floodlights– is now available. According to the company, the floodlight delivers over 75% energy savings relative to metal halide counterparts while offering nearly 3,000 lumens of light. Designed with a highly-durable swivel arm and available in cool (5000K), neutral (4000K), and warm (2800K), the LFLOOD39 is cUL-listed for wet locations and has a minimum starting temperature of -40°C.
