Last week, EBMag presented its inaugural “Partners in Training: Electrical Maintenance & Reliability Forum”, bringing together electrical contractors, service contractors, industrial engineers, maintenance professionals, plant operators, and anyone associated with maximizing a facility’s uptime. The show combined a trade show-like format and a series of training seminars.

Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) held its annual general meeting in Mississauga, Ont., and EBMag was there as EFC presented its 2013 Industry Recognition Award (IRA) to Douglas Baldwin, a veteran of Canada’s electrical market. Also announced were the new board of directors and Kevin Mallory, vice president and general manager of Hubbell Canada LP, as chair for the 2013-2014 term.

“As a distributor, we need to stand out—we try to do that by doing things better and friendlier,” said Steve Svicki of Aztec Electrical Supply, an electrical and automation distributor. Yesterday, Aztec held its second annual Exhibitor Tradeshow, where customers and electrical contractors were able to meet and deal directly with suppliers. And what a success!
