Available for free download from the Android Market, the SMA Sunny Portal Android application allows solar power system owners and operators to manage, monitor and display PV system performance instantly, anytime and anywhere, it boasts. According to the company, the app will conserve both time and costs, because users will be able to instantly access system data to ensure peak production and discover unnoticed performance disturbances. This new addition complements SMA’s Sunny Portal and Solarchecker iPhone apps.

January 12, 2012 - Kwikset and Belkin have teamed up to launch products that leverage the latter’s newly released WeMo system by empowering homeowners with a Wifi network the ability to monitor and control their door locks remotely from a smartphone. This collaboration will extend the capabilities of Kwikset’s Home Connect Technology offerings, which is currently on display at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nev.
