Centrosolar Canada unveils T-Series PV modules
May 22, 2012 - Centrosolar Canada, the Canadian subsidiary of Centrosolar Group AG, has introduced its T-Series photovoltaic (PV) modules to Canadian solar developers and installers for residential and commercial applications. The module comes in 60 cell and 72 cell to provide a power output per module of up to 255Wp and 300Wp, and are designed to resist different climatic conditions, such as ice, hail, snow, storm and high humidity.

It has been one week since Siliken Canada Corp., a solar module manufacturer, announced it will be closing the doors of its Windsor, Ont., manufacturing plant, citing a drought of six months without new contracts as the primary reason for closure. April 25, 2012 - As part of its SunShot Initiative, U.S. energy secretary Steven Chu announced up to $5 million available this year to develop plug-n-play photovoltaic (PV) systems that can be purchased, installed and operational in just one day. This effort is part of the Department of Energy’s (DoE’s) broader strategy to spur solar power deployment by reducing non-hardware (i.e. soft) costs, such as installation, permitting and interconnection.
April 25, 2012 - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DoE’s) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) have developed and launched new tools to test underutilized sites and contaminated land for solar and wind energy potential. The tools aim to give local communities and landowners ways to evaluate sites for renewable energy potential without the need for technical expertise.
