Technology convergence may widen the digital divide
May 17, 2012 - Technology is helping communication companies merge telephone, television and internet services, but a push to deregulate may leave some customers on the wrong side of the digital divide during this convergence, according to a Penn State telecom researcher.

Heather Burnett Gold named president of FTTH Council
November 30, 2011 - The Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council, an organization dedicated to expanding the deployment of ultra high speed all-fiber networks, has named telecommunications executive Heather Burnett Gold to serve as its new full-time president.
