April 4, 2013 - With the theme “A Different Kind of Power”, the National Electrical Contractors Association in the States (NECA) presents its annual conference and tradeshow October 12-15 in Washington, D.C. EBMag will be there!

January 19, 2013 - The Ontario Chapter of the Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA) held its annual general meeting and tradeshow this weekend in Toronto, and EBMag was there to take in some of the action on the tradeshow. Don’t forget: EASA’s annual convention is this summer in Las Vegas!

December 31, 2012 - Fleet managers from  all industries can now register for The Work Truck Show 2013 to learn techniques to improve their operations, put on by the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) in Indianapolis, Ind., March 6-8.

The Electrical Business team recently attended the 24th annual Construct Canada tradeshow—one of the country’s largest building design and construction shows. With over 1050 exhibits, Construct Canada is held concurrently with HomeBuilder & Renovator Expo, PM Expo, Concrete Canada, and the DesignTrends Pavillion, bringing together various professionals in the design, construction, operation, retrofit, and renovation fields. “As a distributor, we need to stand out—we try to do that by doing things better and friendlier,” said Steve Svicki of Aztec Electrical Supply, an electrical and automation distributor. Yesterday, Aztec held its second annual Exhibitor Tradeshow, where customers and electrical contractors were able to meet and deal directly with suppliers. And what a success! November 5, 2012 - Early bird rates are now available until November 9 (this Friday) for CanSIA's (The Canadian Solar Industries Association's) Solar Canada 2012 conference and tradeshow.

Last week, EBMag presented its inaugural “Partners in Training: Electrical Maintenance & Reliability Forum”, bringing together electrical contractors, service contractors, industrial engineers, maintenance professionals, plant operators, and anyone associated with maximizing a facility’s uptime. The show combined a trade show-like format and a series of training seminars.

EBMag dropped in on Westburne, 260 Ambassador Drive, Mississauga, for its Tool Show, where customers were able to deal directly with suppliers to buy the tools they need at the prices they want. The event featured lunch, door prizes and a grand prize of a Samsung 55-in. LED HDTV. The winner of the TV was drawn by special guest, Toronto Classic Rock Q107’s John Scholes. (Photos A. Capkun)
