August 11, 2016 – Dewalt says its 20V Max XR drill (DCD791) and impact driver (DCF887) come with more powerful brushless motors, better ergonomics and faster application speeds, compared to previous Dewalt models.

The DCD791 is 6.9-in. in length, weighs 3.4 lb with a 2.0Ah 20V Max XR battery and delivers 460 UWO (Unit Watts Out) of power. Dewalt says it achieves 0-550 RPM in first gear and 0-2,000 RPM in second.

The DCF887 is 5.3-in. in length and provides 17% more torque compared to its predecessor, Dewalt notes. It has a max speed of 3,250 RPM and 1825 in./lb of max torque in speed 3, 2800 RPM and 1500 in./lb of torque in speed 2, and 1000 RPM and 240 in./lb of torque in speed 1. It also features PrecisionDrive technology which allows it to stall for one second before impacting.
