Ridgid’s new vac line includes MOB and Smart Pulse RV3410

July 6, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

July 6, 2015 – Ridgid says it has a new line of 12 professional-grade wet/dry vacs built specifically for commercial and industrial users.

The line features the Motor-on-Bottom (MOB) 1650RV model and the Smart Pulse RV3410 model, with self-cleaning filters.

The MOB—the first-ever vac to have the motor on the bottom, Ridgid said—has 24% more power than any other Ridgid vac. The additional power adds no extra noise due to the integrated Scroll Noise reduction system and the drum surrounding the motor, the company added. The position of the motor creates a stable, low center of gravity so it won’t tip over on the job. There is also a foot-activated power switch and a detachable drum.

The self-cleaning Smart Pulse has two filters and an integrated sensor that monitors suction efficiency. When the sensor detects a pressure difference, the vac automatically begins an alternating, pulsing cycle to push air through the filter, thereby cleaning the filter.

All professional line vacs are also equipped with upgraded, long-life Pro Hoses, Quick Lock fastener-free filters and long power cords, Ridgid added.
