HellermannTyton’s HelaGuard receives 600V rating

November 19, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

November 19, 2015 – HellermannTyton, a global manufacturer and supplier of cable protection, network connectivity and identification solutions, has announced independent voltage test results for its HelaGuard non-metallic conduit line.

Tests performed by National Technical Systems (NTS) confirm that HelaGuard Standard Weight nylon corrugated Conduit (HG-SW) withstands 600V performance, as measured by ASTM D3638-12, according to HellermannTyton. This benchmark rating applies to all diameters in the HelaGuard HG-SW conduit series, made of a flexible PA6 nylon material. ASTM D3638-12 provides a comparison of the performance of insulating materials under wet and contaminated conditions.

“Without a verifiable voltage rating, end users have been cautious about using a flexible nylon corrugated system, which prompted us to address that concern through independent testing,” said Duane Kuske at HellermannTyton.
