2016 Eaton Arrow Hart power lock devices designed for enhanced safety

September 30, 2016 – Eaton has announced newly redesigned power lock plugs, connectors and receptacles for industrial manufacturing and hospital environments. The company notes these devices are designed to avoid exterior arcing by energizing within a chamber to enhance electrical safety.

Eaton’s Arrow Hart power lock devices incorporate a spring-loaded safety shutter to eject the plug if it has not been properly locked into the connector or receptacle. The shutter also contains and extinguishes arcs and prevents the entrance of foreign matter.

The products also feature a nylon shell and are available in 20A and 30A as well as in standard configurations that meet Ingress Protection (IP) 30 ratings.
