October 4, 2021 – For new owners of the all-electric 2021 VW ID.4, Volkswagen Canada says it will provide three years of unlimited, complimentary ultra-fast charging (from the date of purchase) on the Electrify Canada network.

Electrify Canada has also announced plans to expand its network of ultra-fast chargers from 27 stations with 108 chargers to more than 100 charging stations comprising over 500 individual chargers across Canada by the end of 2025. The expansion also builds the network from four provinces to nine.

“Collaborating with Volkswagen Canada to offer complimentary charging can enhance the EV ownership experience, helping us move towards our goal to make electric mobility a viable solution for all,” said Electrify Canada’s Robert Barrosa.

Electrify Canada’s says its fast charging technology will allow drivers of the all-new ID.4 to charge from 5% to 80% in about 38 minutes.
